The Quit was played on The End on Sunday, yes, AGAIN, because of the "great response" our song received the previous week. When will this tumult of unbelievable success end?? In other news, Kristin Wiig, I love thee. I don't know why I find this so funny. It won't embed for me, so go here and watch the Suprise Party. SUPRISE! (Aunt Linda is my second favourite character of hers, next to the lying one upper Penelope. Especially since I relized recently that I know a gay male version of her.) I hope this finds you well on a Tuesday. I feel like crap. Tags: kristin wiig, press, radio, the end, the quit

107.7 The End played my band The Quit on their Sunday night show "The Young and the Restless" last Sunday as their demo of the week. Sweet! I got played on a bonafide for profit radio station! But I wasn't there to hear it!! Oh piss. Anyway, here's a link: SCOTT IS IN THE RADIOGo to the "Young and the Restless" stream, the second one down and listen to the 3/30/08 show. You can fast forward to about 40 minutes in where you will hear the DJ with very good taste talk about us and advertise our new album. Then he mentions us like three more times later in the broadcast! I'm a nerd. I'm pissed though, cause I wanted to have one of those musical film biography scenes where the whole band is in a van or bus just getting done with a shitty gig that went bust, and just as our spirits are at an all time low, suddenly our song comes on the radio and is an instant sensation! We all high five and start dancing and singing along, and then comes a montage of gold records and money exchanging hands and subtle hints of our impending doom with shots of loose women, drinking and non-discript drug use. Anyway, I'm a star. UPDATE: I just learned that we got played on an Olympia radio station too. If you can make it there, you can make it anywhere. Tags: press, radio, the quit Current Mood: bouncy

So, I'm working really hard today, obviously, and decided to dedicate my time to researching foriegn animal noises. Not foriegn animals mind you, but the onomatopia that different cultures say to represent the sounds that common animals make. I think about this often, because when I was in high school I tutored a Korean kid that was fresh off the boat and he would say the most bizzare things, and this is where I learned that Korean cows say OOOO-MA, OOO-MA. He even had this crazy cow alarm clock that said, in vaguely foriegn accent: "Wake up you sleepy head, you are sleeping your life away, OOOO-MA, OOOO-MA" Here are some of my favs: Korean Dog: Meong Meong (so using this one) Japanese Pig: Boo-Boo Japanese Monkey: Kyakkya! (That's bananas!) Japanese FOX: Kon-Kon (WHATEVER-Everyone knows a fox goes Acheekay Acheekay) Greek Frog: brekekekex koax koax (seems overly complicated) French Cat Purring: Ronronronron Turkish Chicken: Gut Gut Gdack (This should be incorporated in a game of Duck/Duck/Goose somehow) And of course, the ever popular Swedish Elephant Trumpeting: TOOT! Here is a link with many more: KOKEEKKOO! (Japanese Rooster)If anyone can find any more Korean ones I would love it, cause I can't seem to find a good listing of them and I think they are the funniest.
